The tradition

Colour, connection & a heartfelt farewell

Sindur Khela, also spelled Sindoor Khela, is a Bengali tradition associated with the closing rituals of Durga Puja. Women offer vermilion to Maa Durga and share it with one another in a joyful farewell.

Traditionally celebrated by married women, it is a moment of shared blessings, friendship and togetherness. Prabasi's event-specific participation guidance will be shared when confirmed.
