As a tribute to Rabindranath Tagore, Prabasi, will celebrate Tagore's 150th Birth Anniversary on June 11th. Prabasi invites all Bay area talents to join hands and create a gala production to celebrate this momentous occasion.

- Exploring the Influence of Indian Classical Ragas on Rabindrasangeet compositions(2.30 PM): Talented Rabindrasangeet singers and classical vocalists of the Bay Area join hands to create this musical ensemble. In the limited time of this program segment we explore and elaborate how some of well known Rabindrasangeets have their basis in pure Indian Classical Ragas like Yaman, Behag, Khamaj, Bhimpalasi, Desh, Miya Malhar etc.

Our Local artists have done wonders by giving a new musical interpretation to Tagore’s songs, keeping the spirit and core of his songs intact

- Children's Program - Lot of activities in the Courtyard. Here are the details of the 'Rabindrik Art Competition' for children between the age 3-12 years. This is part of the 'Pranganay Chotoder Jonney' program.
- Three age groups: (a) 3 to under 5, (b) 5 to under 8, (c) 8 to under 12
- Reporting time for participation in Drawing Competition is 12:15pm
- Please bring your own pencil, pen, charcoal, water color, pastel or others and paper. Organiser will not provide these materials
- Registration can be done before and onsite
- Artwork will be judged
- The theme will be related to Tagore; specifics will be given during the competition
