Durga Puja 2011
Yes, it is that time of the year again when we forget all about about our normal existence and mingle with the milieu to celebrate one weekend of Durga Puja. The typical sound of shaankh, smell of dhuno and shuffling of saris will bring back sweet reminiscenses of Durgotsav. We are celebrating the long awaited Durga Puja on October 8 and 9, 2011 at Chabot College and you are invited to join us.

Abhijeet
Abhijeet Bhattacharya born in Kanpur, India learned music from Shankar Bodus and R.S. Katyar. In 1990, Abhijeet became playback singer in Bollywood. Anand Milind gave him the first break in the film Baaghi. The romantic numbers in the film were Ek chanchal shokh hasina, Chandni raat hai and Har kasam se badi hai. Then in 1994 he performed for movies like Yeh Dillagi, Anjaam, Raja Babu and Main Khiladi Tu Anari. He won the Filmfare Best Playback singer Award for Yes Boss in 1997. His memorable songs are from the movies Baadshah, Yes Boss, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Josh, Dhadkan, Chalte Chalte, Main Hoon Na and many others. Abhijeet has given his voice for actors such as Shahrukh Khan, Sunil Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Govinda, Sanjay Dutt, Sunny Deol, Saif Ali Khan, Bobby Deol, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Ajay Devgan, and many others. Amongst his recent numbers one of the most memorable and popular song is "Dhoom tana" from the film Om Shanti Om.Event tickets for non-membersNon-members can purchase tickets for Abhijeet concert at Chabot College on Saturday. Sanchita
Sanchita Bhattacharya is the winner of Zee Saregamapa Lil'l Champs 2006. Till now Sanchita gave her playback in 22 films. Some of her Bengali films are Kolir Arjun, O My Love, Bondhu Esho Tumi, Kine de Reshmi Churi, Dada Jini, Megh Mukto Akash, Krishna and many more. Her extraordinary performance in the Bollywood industry are in the films like Bal Ganesha, Mithya and Maan Baora.
