Dear Member,

The Prabasi Board wishes to make a few announcements.

members to serve the Board for the next three years.
All the following Board members applied before the last day of
application and satisfied the requirements:

Anjali Banerjee
Pradip Banerjee
Subrata Dey
Reema Mukherjee
Surajit Sengupta

In addition, the new board has elected Pradip Banerjee as the Chairman
of the board for the next two years.

Including the previously elected board member Mr. Rana Bose, the total
number of elected board members stands to be 6. Remaining 5 board
members will be filled by the Chairman through nominations by the
board members. The full board and their key responsibilities will be
announced soon.

As announced earlier, the General Body Meeting (GBM) is scheduled to
be held on Sep 1 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Hewlett Packard Auditorium -
Oak Room at Cupertino. This date however lies on a long weekend, and
may not be convenient for everyone. The Prabasi Board is trying for an
alternate date to make it convenient for all. If a new date for the
GBM is found, we will send you an email notification immediately, but
until such a change is notified, the date still stands as Sep 1.

As you know, the Prabasi General Body Meeting is a forum for
posing your questions directly to the Board Members in an open manner.
In the GBM, Prabasi Board members present a summary of last year's
activities, including financial results and directly answer your
questions on any aspect of Prabasi activities. You are therefore
encouraged to be present in the General Body Meeting and ask questions

Often, it may not be possible to attend the GBM due to prior
commitments. Prabasi will still like to hear your opinion and answer
your questions. If you have any concern, grievance or suggestion
about Prabasi, please do the following:

1. Go to 2. Choose "Question for Board in General Body Meeting"
3 Type in your question in the form and fill in other details like
name and email address. Then click 'Send this mail'.

Please write your question clearly, exactly the way it needs to be
read to the Board. Your question will be presented to the Board in the
GBM and you will receive a transcript of the GBM when it is over.
