Bay Area Prabasi, in its continuous effort to serve the Bengali
community and uphold Bengali culture amongst the present and future
generation, joins hands with ICC and invites people of Bay Area,
including members and non-members, to celebrate Bengal Month in August
2004, without leaving the Silicon Valley.

West Bengal, the gateway to the exotic east - is a land of passion and
poetry, music and drama, natural beauty and strong people.

Since time immemorial, the culmination of these varied cultures along
with Bengal's very own ever-growing richness has given birth to a
unique Bengali culture which can be identified by its colorful and
significant contribution to all epochs of traditional and modern

Prabasi invites you and your friends to experience the rich Bengali
heritage at ICC Milpitas during the month of August, 2004 and view the
history, language, literature and culture of Bengal displayed
throughout the center.

On August 29th 2004, from 11:30 am to 5:00 pm, enjoy a full day of
Bengali songs, an orchestra, a skit and Tagore's musical -
Bhanushingher Podabali. Sit down and watch a unique Fashion show by
the youth while you feast on Bengalís delicious cuisine. Here's an
exceptional chance for the Bengali Community to introduce to the
people of California, the rich and diverse heritage of Bengali
