Dear Member,

Saraswati Puja, our next gathering, and one our planned annual
festivals, is closer than you think. It will held on February 16 at
Sunnyvale Hindu Temple from 11:00am and will continue till midnight.
The celebrations will include a professional cultural program, a
Bengali movie, a quiz contest and lots of programs for children. All
details are on our web-site.

Below are rules for the Drawing Competition and Quiz Contest.

Drawing Competition

    * On the Spot Drawing competition upto 10 years of age. (Different
    age group).
    * Please carry your own drawing Board or some hard cover to place
    your paper.
    * Paper will be provided by the organization.
    * Please bring your own crayons.
    * There will be 2 groups: (1) 4-6 yrs. and (2) 7-9 yrs.
    * You may choose your own topic for the drawing.

Quiz Contest

    * There will be four groups and each group will have 5
    * Age group will between 10 to 16 years.
    * Group should NOT have more than 3 participants over 12 years old
    as of 16th Feb 2002.
    * Only first twenty applicants will be able to participate.
    * Questions will be based on Indian History, Indian Culture, US
    History, Indian Sports, US sports, Literature, Science,
    Government, World Geography and Mythology The questions will be
    50% US-based and 50% India-based. Questions will be very easy.
    Indian History will be based on very important dates and events.
    * Last date to apply is Feb 10th 2002.
