from 4:00pm to 5:00pm on Nov 17th. This announcement was made in the
Durga Puja invitation mail and also verbally during Durga Puja.
Please make it convenient to attend and voice your concerns, if any.

CULTURAL PROGRAMS AT KALI PUJA
==============================

We have three interesting cultural programs in the evening.

The most important one of these programs is the dance drama
Chitrangada by teenage children of our community. They will dance to
the songs in the well known HMV CD. They have worked very hard to
rehearse this complex dance drama. Please come on time to encourage
our next generation to continue with our rich cultural heritage. The
program has been directed by Angira Dey and will start at 5:45 PM.

The dance drama will be followed by a collection of popular Adhunik
Bangla songs by Prasenjit Biswas and Kohinoor Chakravarty. They will
be singing with professional track music. The collection consists
primarily of popular songs of Hemanta Mukherjee, Asha Bhonsle, Lata
Mangeskar etc. This program starts at 7 PM.

The last attraction of the evening will be a set of popular
Hindi/Bangla songs with live orchestra of six musicians. This
promising upcoming local group is known in the Bay area as "Dhun".
They have four singers and talented musicians on synthesizer, Conga,
Dholak, Lead/Bass guitars and drums. This program starts after dinner
at 9PM and continues till 11PM.

KALI PUJA
=========

Kali Puja is going to start at 11 PM after the cultural program.

Prasad will be distributed at the end of the Puja. Members will be
able to purchase food catered by an Indian restaurant.

ATTENDANCE FEES
