Venue: Chabbot College, Performing Arts Center(Bldg. 1300) (one of
the best auditoriums in the Bay area). Please note that the Puja events are
taking place
in a different building from Cultural Programs. Follow signs or ask a
volunteer
to guide you.

Award winning Bengali movie "Unishe (19th) April" directed by: Rituparno Ghosh starring: Aparna Sen, Debashree Roy, Dipankar Dey "BharatNatyam Recital" by talented classical artist Pallavi Bhowmik "RabindraNritya" by child artist Manishita Ray Rabindra Sangeet by Santiniketan student Debashree Roy. "Mahalaya" directed by Elora Jha, granthana by Dr. Alok Chatterjee, accompanied by Sailendra Tripathi - flute, Joydeep Jha - vocal. Dinner break "JALSAGHAR", an evening of fun & entertainment presented by Samir Sanyal & Lopamudra Ganguly with Ochestra from Los Angeles in a medley of modern songs |

Bengali Adhunik songs by celebrated Calcutta artist AHIN DAS. He has been performing in many concerts all over India & recently put up an excellent performance in the '97 Philadelphia Bonga Sammelan. A hilarious SrutiNatak (Radioplay) based on a playlet by the celebrated "Narayan Gangopadyay" & presented by local artists. Celebrated FALGUNI MITRA (famed guru of Anup Ghoshal), from Calcutta will present music of Satinath Mukherjee. |
